Just on my way home from a lovely weekend away where I’ve been missing out on the news, to be driving home and hear that patriots have been busy all over the country putting Saint George’s crosses and Union flags on lamp posts through towns and cities.
Great stuff showing a love for this country.
But I’ve just heard that there are two councils — Birmingham and Tower Hamlets — that have openly declared that they’re gonna take down every single Saint George flag, British flag, as soon as they possibly can.
Now many people would think well, there’s nothing really wrong with that, as in putting them up, and some people would say there’s nothing wrong with taking them down.
But remember this: Tower Hamlets especially is one of the boroughs that, if you’d have driven through any time after October 2023, you would have seen an awful lot of Palestinian flags flying from everywhere — and yet the council, funny enough, very reluctant to take them down.
Same with Birmingham. Thousands of flags, Palestinian flags, and the council reluctant, may we say even scared, to take them down.
And yet people with a love for their country — and let’s be honest, okay, nobody living in this country should be offended by the George Cross. After all, they wanted to come to this country so badly, surely they must respect our flag and respect the wish to fly it.
And it’s been great to see us, just looked at a couple of videos before posting this, great to see streets lined with Saint George’s flags when there’s no sporting event on.
You know England aren’t playing, women’s football’s not playing, rugby’s not playing — to see such enthusiasm.
I would suggest that the councils may wish to rethink their staunch display of wanting to remove the flag.
Because it suggests yet again in this country not only have we heard about Tootira Leasing constantly, two-tier justice system — and the biggest joke on that is that Ricky Jones getting a not guilty plea while Lucy Connolly still sits in an 8 by 4 cell for a tweet.
And now we see councillors having a very two-tier approach to what sort of flags can be flown.
So are you one of the patriots who is intending to go out and fly flags across your borough, your town, your city?
Are you gonna keep an eye out and if one goes, replace it?
Or are you just not gonna bother and give up purely and simply because councils are coming out and actually showing that they favour foreign flags over good old British flags?
Whether they be Saint George’s Cross, the Saltire, the Welsh flag, or the flag of Northern Ireland. Because it is happening all over.

Where is our parliament and our king in all this?
