Does somebody want to tell me when wolf whistling at a woman in this country was an offense?
Wolf whistling, which is now being recategorized as catcalling, seems to offend so many women in this country
I would be like, ah yes, if somebody wolf whistled at me, I just ignore it because I’m a grown-ass woman. So I just ignore it and say nothing.
There is a huge difference between somebody getting up in your face and being sexually suggestive, making you feel uncomfortable, compared to a couple of guys on scaffolding or someone hanging out the window of a works van or a car or whatever, going whistle.
And we now have a constabulary in this country that is dressing up its policewomen in Lycra to run through parks.
Anyone who wolf whistles at them is being given a caution or sent on an anti-social behaviour course. What the actual fuck?
This morning, there was a woman on the news saying that it’s derogatory, that it makes women feel uncomfortable, and that there’s trauma caused afterwards.
What fucking trauma? Women in the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s even weren’t fucking traumatized by somebody going whistle. I’m not very good at whistling, but seriously, is this how bad our country has become?
There is a million miles apart between somebody physically abusing you, or getting in your face as I’ve said, and being sexually suggestive, compared to somebody wolf whistling at you.
It’s fucking pathetic, and quite frankly, women who complain about this need to fucking get a life and get a grip.
Just because someone wolf whistles at you? I take that as a compliment, and the majority of women I know, who I associate with, would take it as a compliment as well
So fucking just stop. I can’t stand it.
And these liberal left-wing dickheads that go on news programs, giving the reasons why it should be criminalized—oh God, it’s just pathetic.
